Prize was created by her owners and Sam Devlin .  The owners like Sam’s Surf Scoter 26 design and while the Devlin Shop was building a 45 foot trawler Legendary Yachts helped out by building Prize with Sam’s construction consultations to guide them (2005).

In 2023 Prize found her way to Devlin Boat for a power refit. Here at the shop we installed a new 200 HP Yamaha outboard and a new 8HP Yamaha kicker outboard.

This boat can take you offshore fishing or get you to Alaska and back at a pretty good clip if need be. The design concept is for a vessel that can trail to inland waters, as well as allow one way touring on the water with the return via trailer. When on the trailer, as in the water, she is fully self-contained, so no need for a motel. You have your own RV on and off the water.
