A couple of years ago a young couple from British Columbia wanted an expanded version of the Fairhaven Flyer 20 for cruising the inside passage to Alaska. Sam accommodated them with the Krista-x Rower design that they appropriately named the “Purple Porpoise” after all the purple heart wood in the boat that Sam suggested they might use for beauty and strength. This vibrant and healthy couple built her and then rowed the inside passage from Vancouver to Prince Rupert, B.C.. Soon those plans will be available to you on our website.
