Sam fell in love with Josephine many years ago while walking the docks of the Fisherman’s Terminal in Seattle. When she came up for sale he jumped at the chance to own and restore the 1934 beauty built in Tacoma. The double ended fishing trollers of this era were extraordinarily seaworthy and brought home fresh line caught Salmon for decades. An object of beauty and functionality he went to town in her restoration and conversion to a cruising home for himself and his wife.

Careful to maintain the fishing troller profile he turned the fishing hold into an aft cabin that wasn’t much higher than the boats bulwarks. He updated the forward galley and put a large canvas over the aft deck of the boat to provide a large social gathering area that could use the roof of the aft cabin for food and drinks.

Now the time has come for him to move on and pass the boat to someone who loves it as he does and who would enjoy traveling the Northwest Passage just as Sam and his wife have done for so many years. Many photos and an equipment list are contained in this link to Josephine’s brochure.
