The original Dunlin 22 served as a great workboat. But the more Sam saw it’s versatility as a boat for going out over the Columbia River sand bars into the Pacific for fishing and then turning back to explore the tributaries of the Columbia he realized this would be a terrific platform for cruising the Great Loop back East. All that would be required is a little more cabin space for creature comforts including an enclosed head for the wife and a fuller galley.
